As a part of the Oct. 25th meeting,  board of directors decided to delay the implementation date for National Federation of State High School Association's Soccer Rule 4-1-1b until fall 2013. The current uniform rule, which was originally adopted in Jan. 2010, is written in the current rules book to reflect a start date of fall 2012. This rule will now read:

“The home team shall wear white or light jerseys and socks, and the visiting team shall wear dark jerseys and socks. Beginning with the 2013 fall season, the home team shall wear solid white jerseys and solid white socks, and the visiting team shall wear dark jerseys and socks. Prior to and during the game, jerseys shall be tucked into the shorts, unless manufactured to be worn outside.”

The reasoning behind this change is to allow for an additional year for member schools to be compliant. This change will be reflected in the 2011-12 NFHS Soccer Rules Book.
