The National Football League added another player to its stable of footwear suppliers, tapping adidas with the ‘official’ nomenclature that will now allow the company to see the three stripes next to the vector on the field. In addition, adidas will now be able to use NFL and club logos to promote its footwear products. In all, Nike, Under Armour, Reebok, and adidas are the only official suppliers of footwear for the NFL.

Earlier this year, adidas signed contracts with the top two NFL draft picks, Mario Williams and Reggie Bush. Both players are featured in upcoming adidas brand campaigns and will be wearing adidas footwear and TechFIT apparel during the 2006 NFL season.
