The Conservation Alliance welcomed the alliance’s newest member, Shār, makers of organic trail mix.

As a new partner, Shār joins over 220 like-minded companies to support the grassroots conservation community working to protect the wild places that benefit outdoor recreation.

Peter Rushford, founder and CEO of Shār, set out to create a convenient source of on-the-go nutrition that is healthy for its consumers and the planet. Rushford is an avid outdoorsman with over 28 years of experience in the outdoor industry. With conservation and environmental responsibility as a pillar of the brand, Shār will proudly give 20 percent of its net profits back to the environment through its support of The Conservation Alliance.

“We love outdoor spaces and believe they need to be looked after,” said Rushford. “We’re proud to join this passionate group of companies and individuals who are committed to preserving and protecting our wild spaces.”

“We are happy to welcome Shār into Conservation Alliance membership,” said John Sterling, executive director of The Conservation Alliance. “It’s exciting to see new brands shaping their identity around conservation values and responsible business practices. Through the partnership, we can continue to drive change to better protect wild places and the long-term health of outdoor recreation.”
