Fleet Feet announced the planned opening of a new store in Peachtree City, GA later this year.

John Raveling, the operating partner of Fleet Feet’s Decatur, GA, store, will oversee operations of the store, which will feature 1,400 square feet of retail space and will open within The Avenue Peachtree City retail center at 230 City Circle.

“The Atlanta region has a tremendous and passionate community of runners, and we saw a real opportunity in Peachtree City to create a local and accessible running destination to better serve that vibrant area,” says Robyn Goby, vice president of development for Fleet Feet.

“John’s commitment to service, support, and expertise has elevated the Decatur running community, and we look forward to him replicating that atmosphere and level of service for the Peachtree City community.”

Originally from Colorado, Raveling first began running at the age of eight, and later began his first job working in specialty running retail at the age of 14 at his community’s local running store. He turned that first job into a full-time professional career, and went on to take opportunities as general and district managers with well-known running retailers including Boulder Running Company and Running Specialty Group. Raveling took over operations at the Fleet Feet Decatur location in 2016.

“Whether it’s the first timer who’s never run or an elite athlete looking to increase performance, I get the same thrill out of helping people meet their goals,” says Raveling. “Fleet Feet has allowed me to continue living out my dream of helping people through the power of running, and I can’t wait to offer the highest level of service and commitment to the Peachtree City running community to help them every step of the way along their running journey.”

Raveling says Brent Huntley, an experienced running industry professional who currently works at the Decatur location, will manage the Peachtree City location. The store will open with Fleet Feet’s exclusive personalized outfitting experience, fit id™, which includes 3D foot scanning, as well as feature exclusive products and programs. Runners will also be able to earn rewards and opportunities on premium running experiences through Fleet Feet’s national rewards program and app, available now on iTunes and Google Play.

Raveling said he has immediate plans to offer the brand’s medical referral services and Workplace Fit program to the community. Raveling will announce a grand opening date and launch date and target race of the store’s first training program later this year. Stay up to date at fleetfeet.com.
