New Balance signed All-Star and award-winning pitcher, Johan Santana, to a multi-year endorsement contract. New Balance will be Santana’s official on-field footwear and on and off-field athletic apparel provider and will partner with him to sponsor The Johan Santana All-Star Bowling Classic on June 21, 2010 to benefit the Johan Santana Foundation.
“It is extremely important to me to give back to my community, here in the U.S. and in Venezuela, so I am excited to have New Balance's support at my upcoming bowling event,” says Santana. “The New Balance cleats are comfortable pitch after pitch, which makes a big difference on the mound.”

Santana is wearing a special make-up of the New Balance 1101 baseball spike, including a version in his team colors.
The Johan Santana All-Star Bowling Classic will be held on June 21, 2010 from 7:00 pm – 9:00 p.m at Lucky Strike in New York City, located at 624-660 W. 42nd Street at 12th Avenue.
