The National Street Basketball Association (NSBA) has officially been established as a new league. The first official act of the NSBA will be to induct fifteen former legends of street basketball, who then became NBA champions and helped pioneer the game of basketball, into the NSBA Playground Legends Hall Of Fame, and present them with a Basketball Achievement Award.
In addition, Chairman of the Committee of Ways & Means, Congressman Charles Rangel, will attend the official opening ceremonies and the Chairman has expressed an interest in entering the launch of the NSBA into the Congressional Record of Proceedings of the 111th Congress. We are absolutely proud of his support and belief in our efforts.
The Mayors from Dallas, Miami and Cleveland are expected to attend as they represent some of the host cities participating in the upcoming NSBA National Pro Ball Classic draft initiative this summer.
