The National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers (NASGW) Board of Directors has announced that Wayne Smith, President for the past five and half years, will be leaving the association.
Wayne has indicated that he will take some time to deal with a personal health issue and to evaluate options for his future role in the Shooting Sports Industry.
Wayne took the reigns of the NASGW in 2004.
Since then, he has developed a wide range of opportunities that resulted in large amounts of positive change. Under Wayne's leadership, the NASGW has seen its Manufacturer and Sales Representative membership steadily increase, an expansion of the annual expo and the development of several new member programs including Credex, Item HQ and ADbuilder HQ.
A formal search for a new President will be conducted over the coming weeks and during the interim, NASGW Director of Operations, Tracy King Kolojeski, has been appointed the primary contact for all Association business.
