Mt. Bachelor partnered with active-lifestyle agency Backbone Media for public relations support. The ski area, which is situated about 20 miles southwest of Bend, OR, is slated to open for skiing and snowboarding on November 25, 2016.
“We’ve worked with Backbone Media for several years for our media planning and buying, and we’re pleased to be growing our relationship to include their PR services,” said John McLeod, president and general manager of Mt. Bachelor. “We are confident that Backbone’s experience in the active lifestyle and outdoor travel spaces will help us reach the right audience.”
New for the 2016/17 season, Mt. Bachelor will unveil a new chairlift, Cloudchaser, on the east side of the mountain, making Mt. Bachelor the fifth largest ski area in the U.S., with 96 trails and 4,318 total skiable acres.
“Mt. Bachelor has been working hard to improve an already amazing experience for every guest who visits the destination, and the new Cloudchaser lift will be a great addition,” said Ian Anderson, partner and PR director for Backbone Media. “We are excited to be working with the resort in an increased capacity and can’t wait to share the amazing experiences available there with our friends in the media.”
With offices in Carbondale, CO and Denver, Backbone Media targets and engages the active lifestyle market through public relations, social media, content creation and media planning and buying.
