Mountainsmith has promoted Tom Pope  to the position of operations manager and Luke Boldman as product line manager/designer. They join National Sales Manager, Jay Getzel, to form the company’s management team. The announcement was made by Renee Pitra, representing Blackstone Investment Group, parent company of Mountainsmith.

“This action has been implemented to strengthen our growing business,” stated Renee. “Both men have broad skill sets that will enhance the company’s growth. Together with Jay, they have been instrumental in moving the company forward during these challenging economic times. Their combined experience will be a huge asset as the company develops its future products and strategies.”

Tom has been with Mountainsmith for seventeen years. He has worked in many facets of the company ranging from logistics to international sales planning as well as inventory forecasting and management.  Drawing on this experience, he will now assume responsibility for overall company operations. He will also be instrumental in the company’s upcoming move to new headquarters in Golden, Colorado.

Luke will lead the continuing innovation that has come to be expected from Mountainsmith. He has served as lead designer and developer over the past five years. His strong background in design started with a nine year career in prosthetic and orthopedic design that fueled his passion for creating a line of durable, ergonomically correct products for Mountainsmith. He will now handle all facets of the company’s product design and development.  His knowledge and vision will be crucial in moving Mountainsmith to the next level.
