Mountain Safety Research has been named Seattle Business Magazine’s Manufacturing Company of the Year in the innovation category.
MSR was nominated among dozens of other manufacturers large and small from all over the state, and selected by judges as a finalist. At the 2018 Washington Manufacturing Awards Gala on May 3, finalists in seven categories were honored and winners of Silver and Gold were announced.
Doug Sanders, MSR’s vice president, accepted the award on behalf of the brand. Members of the MSR manufacturing team, members of the board of directors and the company’s chairman of the board, David Burroughs, joined Sanders on stage as he accepted the award.
“MSR is honored to be recognized for its long history of manufacturing and engineering in Seattle,” Sanders said. “Our innovations start as innovative ideas, brought to life by hundreds of employees doing extraordinary things with ordinary materials.”
As the recipient of this award, MSR is included in the Manufacturing Awards feature story in the May issue of Seattle Business magazine honoring this year’s winners, which was distributed at the gala and available on newsstands beginning May 4.
