Mountain Hardwear said Tom Shores will serve as its western regional sales manager, while Mark Kallerud will fulfill the role of regional specialty sales manager for the Mountain Hardwear and Montrail brands.
Drawing on more than a decade of sales and management experience, Shores will play a key role on the sales management team helping to drive Mountain Hardwear’s U.S. sales strategy. As the western regional sales manager, Shores will work with strategic accounts and help to establish the framework that will allow Mountain Hardwear to realize the growth path that lies ahead.
“Tom’s outdoor passions, retail background and multi-brand experience have helped shape Tom as a natural sales leader,” said Jason McGibbon, national sales manager of Mountain Hardwear. “His knowledge base and experience set will prove invaluable in creating and implementing best practices as we evolve the sales engine.”
Shores has spent the last 5 years managing key accounts for the Columbia Sportswear Company. He will report directly to National Sales Manager Jason McGibbon.
Mark Kallerud has been named the regional specialty sales manager for the Ohio Valley Territory (Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, and Indiana), effective immediately. Kallerud has over 25 years of experience in the outdoor industry working as a soft and hard goods buyer and general sales manager for one of the most recognized specialty retailers in the great lakes region, and a field sales representative for several ski industry brands. For the past 5 years, Kallerud has been working for Columbia Sportswear Inc. selling Sorel, Montrail and Columbia brands in the Great Lakes territory.

Kallerud is based out of Avon, Ohio reporting to the Mountain Hardwear National Sales Manager, Jason McGibbon, and the Montrail National Sales Manager, Jason Hill.
