Haas Outdoor Holdings, parent company of a portfolio of outdoor brands, most notably Mossy Oak Brand Camo, has promoted Kevin Tate to Vice President of Media Productions.

Tate has been with Mossy Oak 11 years, having joined the company as public relations manager in the spring of 2000. Since then, he's served the television department as screenwriter and video editor until being named creative director in 2004. For the past six years, he's supervised the post production team while often editing a television series himself and as a team, Mossy Oak Productions has delivered, on average, more than 100 original episodes of broadcast television per year during that time.

“Kevin joined Mossy Oak productions as a writer, one of his strongest assets,” said Ronnie “Cuz” Strickland, Sr. VP of Media and Productions. “He quickly showed us that writing was only one of his many skills. He became a 'go to' guy for countless projects that everyone relied on. Editing, complicated production equipment issues, creative concepts, whatever it takes he has truly defined himself as the ultimate team player. Mossy Oak Productions would not be where it is today without Kevin, and we are truly proud and blessed to have him help lead one of the industry's most successful TV production teams.”

Going forward, his responsibilities will include leading the broader Mossy Oak Productions division. It will be his charge to maintain the standard of excellence and reputation for 100-percent on-time delivery of the highest-quality product with a message that is communicated in a way that would inspire pride in anyone who loves the outdoors. He will also be responsible for leading the team as Mossy Oak finds new avenues through which to share hunting's true, positive message. Tate will report to Strickland, who will remain in the role of Sr. VP of Media and Productions.

“The trust placed in me by Toxey, Bill, Cuz and the leadership at Mossy Oak is very humbling, and I look forward to living up to the standards they've set,” Tate said. “The Mossy Oak Productions division was born in the mid-1990s, brought to life by Toxey's vision, by Cuz's unwavering dedication to quality and by the hard work of technologically and artistically gifted hunters who believed in the message that was theirs to tell. From its inception, the division has been integral to what our company has achieved. For the Mossy Oak family, for our partners and friends in the industry and for the future of the traditions that lead us where our hunting instincts would have us go, I hope only to continue the job that will always be a work in progress. Today, the field producers, editors, graphic artists and logistic magicians, who dedicate a major part of their lives to what we all believe in at Mossy Oak, form a team that takes deep personal pride in its work, and rightly so. Its members inspire and challenge one another, and it is rewarding to come to work with them every day. I look forward to what the future holds for us all.”

Tate is treasurer of the Professional Outdoor Media Association, a member of the Southeastern Outdoor Press Association and president of the West Point, Miss., Rotary Club. He and his wife Amy have two children: Avery, 7, and Walker, 4. They live in Tupelo, Miss.
