MoonBikes, the maker of electric snow bikes, reported that it partnered with Boyne Mountain Resort as its first North American ski resort partner. Through the agreement, Boyne Mountain Resort acquired ten MoonBikes for guest use.
Boyne Mountain Resort, located in Boyne Falls, MI, offers year-round recreation, including its Disciples 8, an eight-person high-speed chairlift.
“MoonBikes are an ideal fit for Boyne Mountain Resort in bringing another standout attraction that also aligns with our dedication to sustainability,” said Patrick Patoka, Boyne Mountain’s director of adventure. “With our ForeverProject, we focus on reducing our impact at every level of resort operations, and MoonBikes fit our mission of providing environmentally friendly fun.”
MoonBikes, first introduced in North America in late 2020, are electric snow bikes weighing less than 200 lbs, have zero active emissions and an optional second battery (depending on snow conditions), and offer up to 35 miles of range. The bikes use no gas or oil with multiple service locations in the U.S. and Canada.
“It’s a huge honor to be working with Boyne Mountain Resort,” said Nicolas Muron, MoonBikes founder and CEO. “MoonBikes are built for fun, approachability and sustainability—all factors that the Boyne Mountain team believes in.”
