Modell's Sporting Goods has partnered with UAE LLC, a leading sports retailer of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), in a deal that will yield the first Modell’s locations outside of the United States.
Under the licensing arrangement, UAE LLC will rebrand its existing GO Sport stores to Modell's Sporting Goods. The rebranding follows an expansion period for Retailcorp and the first store is set to open later this summer. Modell's locations will include the Mall of the Emirates, Mirdif City Centre and Ibn Battuta Mall, prime sites in Dubai, which is the largest city in the United Arab Emirates.
Modell’s’, celebrating its 125th year in 2014, has more than 155 locations in the northeast.

We anticipate a long and successful partnership in establishing Modell's Sporting Goods as a global retailer.”

Our stores will shortly be re-branded to Modell's Sporting Goods and with this, we look forward to offering our customers a new exclusive and unique shopping experience yet to be seen in the Middle East.”
