Luke Donald has signed a multi-year contract extension with the Mizuno Corporation to continue serving as a Mizuno Brand Ambassador around the world. Donald will continue to carry a Mizuno Staff Bag along with Mizuno headcovers and umbrella, and wear his trademark Mizuno visor throughout the length of the agreement.

“We are thrilled to have extended our relationship with Luke Donald for several more years,” said Akito Mizuno, President of Mizuno Corporation. “Not only is he one of the best players in golf, but his character is as strong as his game, making him a great representative of the Mizuno brand. Luke is a global player, and given Mizuno’s global scope, it is a perfect fit.”

Donald played Mizuno irons while at Northwestern University, where he was awarded the prestigious Jack Nicklaus Award for collegiate men’s player of the year as well as the Fred Haskins Award for top collegiate golfer in 1999. Since putting Mizuno’s back in his bag in 2004, Donald has skyrocketed 122 spots in the World Golf Rankings from #134 to #12, where he sits currently. Donald’s game has continued to steadily improve, recording victories at the Omega European Masters and the Scandinavian Masters (European Tour) in 2004, and the Honda Classic (PGA Tour) in 2006. Donald was also an integral part of the victorious European Ryder Cup Team in 2004.

“Mizuno is synonymous with great equipment, and you always want to be armed with the tools that give you the best chance to succeed out on the course, so I couldn’t be happier to have my relationship with Mizuno extended” said Luke Donald. “I’ve been extremely satisfied with the performance Mizuno products deliver, and I hope to be using their equipment for a long time to come.”
