MidwayUSA promoted Dan Stokes to the position of development operations manager.
Stokes began his career at MidwayUSA in April 2007 as an application developer after earning his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Columbia College. He has led several teams over the years, working as application manager for merchandising, logistics, customer support, and most recently database manager.
“I’m excited in returning to help run projects for the business in this new role of Development Operations Manager,” said Stokes. “Customers are our #1 priority, and being involved in projects that give them a more seamless searching, browsing, and buying experience is extremely important to me.
In his new position, Stokes will be responsible for the management of all application development projects. He will also be responsible for assisting the vice president of information systems with strategic planning, capacity planning, integration with other departments, and leading information systems to support the overall goals of the organization.
“Dan’s diversity of Information Systems experience provides him with a great systems perspective of how all the parts need to work as one system,” said Joel Felten, VP of information systems. “His understanding of processes such as marketing, merchandising, order taking, logistics, and financial services will prove to be valuable in this new role. Dan has proven his ability to execute a plan over and over again. This position will take this skill to the next level!”
