JV International, a manufacturer of technical soles and the worldwide licensee of soles by Michelin, is expanding its North American presence with a new office in Wolcott, VT. The newly formed JV North America Corp. “aims to strengthen and improve its position by being closer and more efficient to its local customers.”
Glen McKibben, VP and general manager, will lead the JV North America office, who has over 20 years of experience in marketing, sales and product development focused on footwear and apparel in the outdoor, cycling and winter sports markets. He has worked with brands including Dynafit, Cipollini, rh+, and DMT Cycling.
“I am extremely proud to join the JVI/Soles by Michelin team,” said McKibben. “I come to this dedicated group as a former client, which has made me keenly aware of their extensive technical footwear experience, their passion for innovation, and the power of the Michelin brand. I look forward to growing the presence in the U.S. and Canadian markets, supporting the many existing brand partnerships as well as exploring new opportunities. My experience growing a diverse range of technical and lifestyle footwear brands combined with the expertise of the team will help us to understand and find creative solutions for the most demanding footwear outsole projects.”
“I am happy to welcome Glen to the JVI team and hand over North America to him,” said Filippo Sartor, global senior sales manager for JV International. “I have worked hard to build strategic partnerships with many great brands in the U.S. and Canada. I have known Glen for many years as we first worked together on several very technical shoe projects while he was on the brand side. Glen has a strong footwear background working with some of the most iconic companies as well as smaller innovation-driven brands. Over the next few months, we will be working in tandem to make a smooth transition for all our existing partners. I am confident that having a local presence with a dedicated U.S. office will allow us to provide even greater support.”
