Merrell is expanding its partnership with the UK National Parks to launch an updated version of a UK National Parks Visitor Passport with the aim of inspiring more people to get out into the outdoors and the chance to win Merrell kit into the bargain.
The new passports will be distributed both through Merrell stockists and also using Merrell's UK web site and social media like Facebook and Twitter. The idea behind the passports is that as you visit each of the UK's 15 official National Parks, you collect an attendance stamp to commemorate your visit.
Passport holders also stand a chance of winning top-of-the-range Merrell gear along the way.
Both the brand and the National Parks are enthusiastic about the scheme with Carl Lis – Chairman of the UK Association of National Park Authorities (UK ANPA) said:
“We are delighted to be working with Merrell who share the same aspiration as the UK National Parks – to encourage more people to get out and enjoy the countryside. With the current difficult financial situation, more people than ever are staying at home to enjoy what the UK has to offer and whether you want to relax and enjoy the tranquility, join in a family event or get into some adrenalin filled activities then there’s something for everyone in your nearest National Park.”
Fancy bagging all 15 National Parks? There are ten in England, three in Wales and two in Scotland and they are:
England – Dartmoor, Exmoor, Lake District, New Forest, Northumberland, North York Moors,
Peak District, the Yorkshire Dales, the South Downs and the Broads which has equivalent status
to a National Park.
Wales – Brecon Beacons, Pembrokeshire Coast and Snowdonia
Scotland – Cairngorms and Loch Lomond and the Trossachs.
