Meridian Community College Reaches Deal With Under Armour And BSN Sports

Meridian Community College signed a five-year partnership with Under Armour through an agreement signed with BSN Sports.

MCC coaches say the new apparel agreement will help their department’s branding and recruiting.

The department-wide agreement will cover the college’s 13 intercollegiate athletic programs and is the first of its kind for MCC. The deal includes access to Under Armour uniforms, as well as shoes, equipment and other supplies offered through BSN Sports. In the past, MCC teams selected their own brand of uniform.

“We are incredibly excited about this new agreement with Under Armour and BSN Sports,” said Sander Atkinson, MCC director of athletics. “Getting all the Eagle athletic programs under one superior brand will enable the college to move to another level of recognition and it will allow us to have a consistent look across all sports.”

The MCC athletics program continues to be one of the foremost programs in the National Junior College Athletic Association. Just recently, MCC was one of four colleges nationwide earning multiple accolades from the NJCAA.

Judge Little of BSN Sports said his company looks forward to working with MCC and promoting the Eagle brand.

“BSN Sports is ecstatic about the new partnership with MCC,” Little said. “Clearly MCC has a dominant presence in junior college athletics and we are excited about the opportunity to promote this first-class institution.”

MCC fields the teams of men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s tennis, golf, men’s and women’s track and field, softball, baseball and men and women’s cross-country.
