McDavid has formed an official partnership with German soccer goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen as global ambassador.
A highly accomplished performer for FC Barcelona and the Germany national team, ter Stegen is widely considered one of the best goalkeepers in the world. As a long-time believer in McDavid HEX, ter Stegen will help build awareness and promote the usage of McDavid’s patented HEX Technology—the gold standard in soccer protective apparel around the world.

A 25-year-old native of Mönchengladbach, Germany, ter Stegen joined FC Barcelona in 2014 and made his presence felt in helping them win both the Copa del Rey and UEFA Champions League. He has won nine tota
l championships with FC Barcelona, also capturing: the FIFA Club World Cup, the European Super Cup, the Spanish League Championship, the Spanish Cup (twice), the Spanish Super Cup, and the Catalan Super Cup. Additionally, ter Stegen has excelled for Germany—in July, he helped them win the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup, earning Man of the Match in the final.
