The Quality Deer Management Association (QDMA) Bob Mazgaj has joined the organization as Chief Operating Officer. Bob comes to QDMA from Ducks Unlimited, where he was the Director of Event and Volunteer Leadership Programs at DU's National Headquarters in Memphis, TN.
After attending Leadership Training at the U.S. Marine Corps' Officer Candidate School, Mazgaj earned a bachelor's degree in wildlife resources at West Virginia University. He served as a wildlife officer, wildlife investigator, and a district law enforcement supervisor in Ohio, eventually being promoted to District Manager for the Ohio Division of Wildlife. He directed all wildlife operations in northeast Ohio, managing 100 division employees.
“Bob's combination of experience and years in the conservation arena are ideal for his new role as Chief Operating Officer of QDMA,” said Brian Murphy, Chief Executive Officer. “He has displayed skill and integrity as a leader in both the non-profit conservation world and a state wildlife agency, and we are excited to have Bob on the QDMA team. We believe he has what it takes to lead QDMA to the next level of achievement.”
