Marika, the largest division of Fam Brands, has signed a multi-year licensing agreement with Wiesner Products, Inc. for women’s hosiery under the Marika label, as well as SG Companies for women's footwear products. The new licensees will add to the brand’s ever expanding portfolio of licensees and complement the existing Marika active apparel. The territory includes the USA and Canada with initial deliveries to key retailers beginning this Holiday season for both newly licensed categories.
Fam Brands, recent hire, John W. Spotts, EVP International Business Development and Licensing, is beginning his licensing mission for the corporation with Marika, and agrees with Frank Zarabi, CEO/Owner of Fam Brands, as he states, “We are pleased that both Wiesner Products, Inc. and SG Companies have joined Marika’s growing licensing portfolio. Both companies are experts in their classifications and have strong retail relationships, superior design and sales teams, as well as outstanding expertise in both product development and sourcing. The upcoming Spring 2014 hosiery collection will include training socks, anti-blister socks, every day cotton/poly blend crews and a studio yoga sock, all of which will be distinguished by distinctive Marika patterns with pops of color complementing the Marika apparel assortment. Retail price points are expected to range $6-18.
The major focus for the footwear collection is Body Wellness with three major product categories: performance training, fitness studio and sport-active lifestyle. Exciting key features and product benefits are aero-tech engineered breathable uppers, light and flexible compression and 3D molded midsoles, and Marika Dry Wik ® linings. At retail price points of $24.99 – $59.99, this fashion-performance collection is surely going to be in demand.
