Outdoor apparel brand Maloja will open the doors to its first flagship store in Stowe, VT, on September 28 with a grand opening celebration that showcases new fall and winter apparel. The opening will also include a meet-and-greet with Maloja-sponsored U.S. Biathlon athletes and brand co-founders.

“We chose to open our North American flagship store in Stowe because it is a mountain town with an active community of outdoor enthusiasts,” said Landon Stirling, brand manager for Maloja North America. “Consumers continue to seek out Maloja apparel and we welcome the opportunity to bring the full Brand experience to life in this unique boutique setting.”

The store will feature new fall and winter 2019 collections for mountain and road cycling, climbing, Nordic and backcountry skiing as well as lifestyle apparel. From jackets and vests, shirts and pants, as well as accessories, Maloja apparel blends performance and style for mountain enthusiasts.

Additionally, this opening will allow guests the opportunity to meet members of the U.S. Biathlon team. Entering year two of their partnership, the U.S. Biathlon team will be outfitted in Maloja race and training gear. The uniforms include lightweight racing suits with bonded and ultrasonically welded seams and laser-cut inserts. Throughout the partnership, Maloja continues to work with the U.S. Biathlon athletes to adapt the designs for optimal performance. U.S. Biathlon apparel is available for sale at Maloja flagship stores and online with a portion of the proceeds benefiting athlete development programs.

Maloja is currently available in over 175 retail stores across North America. The store in Vermont joins seven global flagship locations, many based in mountain communities in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Korea. Maloja flagship stores fully embody the Brand’s product, messaging and spirit.

“I’ve been working with Maloja as a sales representative in New England for over five years. What I love about Maloja is their commitment to making functional outdoor clothing that also carries a value of social responsibility and sustainability that embodies their real love for the outdoors. It’s a perfect fit for the Stowe community,” said Kate Ball-Young, store director.
