Mad Engine Global, a global licensed apparel and accessory company, has appointed Angelina Yagudayev as chief merchandising officer (CMO), Christine Bettles as chief financial officer (CFO) and Gina Cappi as chief creative officer (CCO).

The company promoted Yagudayev to CMO after being the EVP of Mad Engine’s Canada division. Yagudayev began her career at Mad Engine over a decade ago to expand its sales presence in Canada to oversee sales, creative, production, and operations to “become one of the biggest distributors of licensed goods in the Canadian market.” As CMO, Yagudayev manages and oversees the company’s sales division for all markets, including the U.S. and Canada.

“Angelina is a powerhouse in the licensed apparel industry, excelling at identifying great brands and matching them with the right retail partner, creating a win-win for our retailer and licensor partners,” said CEO Danish Gajiani. “Just as importantly, she operates thoughtfully with intention and empathy, ensuring that the Mad Engine sales team will have the tools it needs to fuel growth well into the future.”

Bettles began her career with the accounting firm PwC before moving into apparel. She was the CFO for several apparel companies, including a Mad Engine competitor.

“Christine’s extensive experience in finance, apparel and strategic planning will provide an invaluable asset to our organization as we continue to grow our current categories and evaluate expanding into new products and markets,” continued Gajiani. “As an added bonus, she has deep industry experience with retailers and licensors and strong relationships with numerous Mad Engine team members, the company is ecstatic to bring her aboard.”

Cappi, formerly SVP of the Mad Engine’s Kids Division, joined the company over ten years ago. The company reported that Cappi started its girl’s division when it had yet to target the category and grew it to one of its strongest categories.

“Gina’s blend of creativity, merchandising and overall sales strategy coupled with her laser focus on growing brands and providing retailers with innovative products that move at retail made her a natural fit,” said Gajiani. “In her new position, she will oversee Mad Engine’s best-in-class design department and will be tasked with using her storytelling and merchandising skills to bridge the gap between sales, design and content. The team could not have chosen a better person.”
