Peter Sachs, general manager of LOWA Boots in the U.S., today announced the appointment of the Flamand Sports Group to manage the company’s Southeast territory and of John Wilmers to take over the Great Lakes territory. Phil Flamand and associates Lisa Flamand, Billy Turner, Jason Zombron, and Scott Perkins will oversee LOWA’s sales and marketing efforts in Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Alabama, and Mississippi. John will do the same in Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana.

The five-person Flamand Sports Group, headed by founder and President Phil Flamand, was incorporated in 1988 and is headquartered in Tampa, Florida with a satellite office in Travelers Rest, South Carolina. The combined experience of the group crosses many boundaries including buying, retail, and sales in the outdoor, snow, and bike industries. In addition to LOWA, they represent several other strong national brands such as Kelty, Thule, and Timbuk 2.

John manages his smaller territory from his office in Lapeer, Michigan and also represents Arc’teryx and Western Mountaineering in addition to several accessory lines. He was a retail business owner for 14 years and has been in outdoor sales since 1995.

Both sales companies are committed to continue building LOWA business in each respective territory by promoting targeted product assortments and providing exceptional service. “The Flamand Sports Group and John each received overwhelming accolades from retailers throughout the Southeast and Great Lakes regions,” commented Peter Sachs. “I am very confident that they will be strong assets to our sales team.”
