Following its strategic partnership with the WTA Tour, Lotto Sport Italia announces a significant agreement with Octagon/Anschutz Entertainment Group which recognizes the Italian company as Technical Sponsor of the WTA Tour Championships.
The partnership has a three-year duration with a renewal option for two more years. Lotto will supply shoes and apparel to the 360 ball-boys, umpires, staff and volunteers involved in the Championships which will take place in Los Angeles from 5 to 10 November 2003.
In addition, Lotto will be present with on-site promotional activities as well as on all promotional and advertising materials.
The six-day Championships represents the crown jewel of womens professional tennis and will feature eight top singles players and four doubles teams, amongst them also the Lotto winning doubles team Virginia Ruano Pascual and Paola Suarez. The tournament is due to be watched by more than 85 million spectators in Europe and another 300 million households throughout the world.
The WTA Tour Championships is the season-ending finals of the WTA Tour consisting of 1,000 players representing 76 nations at 60 events in 31 countries over a year.
