Loehmann's Holding Company Inc. announced that Joan Durkin has been appointed chief financial officer and senior vice president of finance. Most recently, she served as the vice president of finance for Brown Shoe Company.
Durkin will lead the company's financial operations and be a member of Loehmann's senior management team. She will report to Joe Melvin, Interim CEO and chief operating officer.
Durkin brings more than 20 years of experience in financial management in the retail sector. Prior to joining Brown Shoe Company, Ms. Durkin held the position of vice president of finance, corporate controller for Finlay Fine Jewelry.
Durkin assumes the CFO role from Joe Melvin who successfully led the company out of Chapter 11 in early March.
“I am delighted to welcome Joan to Loehmann's management team. She brings a broad base of financial experience and retail expertise to the Company and I am confident that Joan will provide the financial leadership needed to drive our success both in the near and long-term,” said Melvin.
Loehmann's operates 40 stores with locations in 11 states and the District of Columbia.
