L.L. Bean said four workers fired for buying a leather tote bag after its price had been inadvertently reduced on the company’s website are being rehired.

L.L. Bean spokeswoman Carolyn Beem told the Associated Press that the company apologized to the women and will pay them lost wages. She added they will resume working “as soon as their schedules allow.”

The workers attorney claimed the four were fired after placing orders for themselves on the L.L. Bean website. The bag, originally priced at $169. for about two days was erroneously marked down to $19.

The employees lawyer, Rebecca Webber, tells the Sun Journal newspaper of Lewiston that her clients are glad they will be going back to work.
