LifeSaver, a U.K.-based manufacturer of portable and reusable water filtration systems, has hired public relations firm Darby Communications.
Effective immediately, Darby Communications will be LifeSaver’s agency of record, and will work continuously to spread the word about LifeSaver’s premium line of water filtration products and global humanitarian efforts.
LifeSaver got its start in 2007 following back-to-back natural disasters in southeast Asia (Indian Ocean Tsunami) and the United States (Hurricane Katrina). Inventor Michael Pritchard saw the desperate need for access to clean drinking water in both cases, and the idea for LifeSaver was born. Since then, the company has expanded from solely working in the humanitarian realm to offering a variety of consumer-friendly products ideal for backpacking, adventure travel and emergency preparedness.
“Darby Communications is incredibly well-connected in the outdoor industry, and completely gets us as a brand,” said Wesley Clarke-Sullivan, LifeSaver’s product manager. “We share the same mission of helping people enjoy the outdoors safely and responsibly and are thrilled to team up with them to elevate our PR efforts in the States.”
“We’ve admired Lifesaver’s humanitarian work for quite some time and feel it is a true privilege to work with a company so dedicated to making clean, safe drinking water accessible for all,” stated Coral Darby, founder of Darby Communications. The agency will provide PR services for LifeSaver’s new line of Liberty water bottles, as well as strategy and support for their entire product line.
