L.L.Bean said it plans to open a store in Bridgewater, its first in Central New Jersey, on July 25.
The new store will be located at Chimney Rock Crossing shopping center, just off Route 22 and Chimney Rock Road.
“The nearly 16,000-square-foot space brings the brand closer to its customers in the Somerset County region, making it even easier for them to find their favorite outdoor-inspired apparel and footwear. The Bridgewater store is L.L.Bean’s fourth store opening of 2025 as the company continues to expand its retail footprint,” according to L.L.Bean.
Grand opening weekend will feature a ribbon cutting ceremony with L.L.Bean representatives, local elected officials and YMCA partners on Friday. The first 100 customers will receive a $50 L.L.Bean gift card.
Other festivities over Friday and Saturday included free grocery tote screen printing, a boot lace customization bar, photos with the L.L.Bean Bootmobile, as well as family activities, giveaways and refreshments.
L.L.Bean will also make a $10,000 contribution to the Bridgewater YMCA to provide summer camp access for underserved youth.
L.L.Bean’s Chimney Rock Crossing store offers easy access to Washington Valley Park, Duke Farms, and paddling routes along the Raritan River.
“We’re excited to open our fourth store in New Jersey and connect with the Bridgewater community,” said Kristen Jones, district manager for L.L.Bean. “Central Jersey is filled with great places to get outside and we’re eager to help more people enjoy the outdoors, bringing our heritage of quality, craftsmanship, service and outdoor expertise to even more Garden State residents.”
L.L.Bean’s three other New Jersey stores are in Freehold, Marlton and Paramus.
L.L.Bean currently operates 61 stores in 20 states across the United States, along with 25 stores in Japan and 13 stores in Canada, in partnership with Jaytex Group.
