A new activewear startup based out of Singapore named Kydra has launched an Indiegogo campaign for its first product, the Kydra Flex Shorts, in an attempt to bring together the practical benefits of running tights and a casual pair of shorts.
The company was founded in September 2015 by two athletes born and raised in the urban jungle, therefore the apparel will seek to reflect the performance-fashion dichotomy trending in today’s sports & fitness landscape.
“The company’s entry into the sporting industry had been propelled by the lack of attention in men’s active wear by major sports brands. Kydra seeks to meet the needs of sportsmen globally, sparing no expense on materials and research and development — providing state of the art sporting apparel,” the company said.
“We were looking for the perfect pair of multi-functional shorts, but there were none,” said Kydra Co-Founder Wong Dingyao, “so we decided to engineer our own.”
As of August 8 the brand’s Indiegogo campaign had 12 days left in its fundraising cycle, with $5,450 of its projected goal of $10,000 raised.
