Kuiu is tapping into the Noble Biomaterials fabric development technology portfolio as a first adopter of the Ionic+Botanical technology within the hunting space. The collaboration kicks off a series of fabrics developed by the creator of the Ionic+ Botanical renewable treatment.
Kuiu’s new Velocity Long Sleeve Tee features Noble’s Ionic Botanical. This is the first product available from Kuiu that uses Noble’s citric acid-based antimicrobial solution and is reported to be “the beginning of many new fabric developments planned between Kuiu and Noble.”
“People who know the Kuiu brand understand how important product details are,” noted Kuiu Brand Manager Micah Sirek. “It’s important to continue adding value to the products we make. Our customer knows we have a drive for innovation and performance, which includes fabric materials, and we’re excited to work with Noble to continue to develop high-performing apparel.”
Noble’s Ionic+ Botanical renewable treatment reportedly “lasts up to 50 washes, allowing Kuiu wearers to wash less and extend the life of the product, while saving water and resources throughout the products lifecycle.”
Kuiu and Noble are expanding their partnership and have plans to introduce additional Ionic+ solutions in future seasons “adding durability and performance benefits.”
“Our partnership with Kuiu showcases the versatility of Ionic+ and how brands can differentiate their products with our technology,” offered Allon Cohne, SVP of Ionic and CMO at Noble Biomaterials. “Between our new Botanical solutions and our Ionic+ Pro technology, there’s opportunity for brands like Kuiu to break through in their respective categories with new fabric developments.”
Noble Biomaterials is a registered FDA medical device company and “an essential sole-source technology supplier of medical components to the U.S. military and a U.S. EPA–registered antimicrobial manufacturer.” Noble products are reportedly EPA, FIFRA, BPR, and CE conforming. Ionic+ products “exceed the performance claims on the market to which Noble is publicizing within its social and digital channels”.
As an EPA compliant partner, Noble Biomaterials said “it takes very seriously any claims made to the consumer.”
