Kokatat added Nikki Hodgson to its sales team as Customer Service Rep. Nikki graduated from Humboldt State University this past December with degrees in German and English. She spent the past year studying in Germany at the University of Heidelberg. While attending HSU, she received an athletic scholarship for track and cross-country and competed in Austria at the World Trophy Mountain Running Championships as a member of the U.S. junior team. “I still love running, but a few years ago I took a whitewater kayaking class at HSU and that prompted me to give up my scholarship and pursue kayaking, which has become my main interest!”
Nikki officially got her start in the outdoor industry working for Northern Mountain Supply in Eureka, but she is no stranger to this industry. Her earliest memory is of “nap time” in the tent display at the A16 retail store in West L.A. where her father, Michael Hodgson of SNEWS, got his start in the industry. “Kokatat is a company that I respect and admire for its continued commitment to quality on all fronts. I'm thrilled to join the team, and inspired to be part of a company located in a small coastal community whose success has not come at the expense of social and environmental responsibility” says Nikki.
