Knog, the designer of bike accessories and outdoor lighting products, announced the addition to its PWR Modular System, the PWR Solar 10W Panel, a compact solar panel.
Designed with the PWR Modular System to be self-supporting, the Panel provides power to a phone, smartwatch, tablet, or Go-Pro, and can store energy in an external PWR Bank for future use.
Weighing 16oz, the compact unit uses strategically placed magnets to fold up to the size of an iPhone when not in use. The unit is coated with ETFE, an industrial coating protecting from heat, water, salt, oil, and dirt. The charger has a D-ring attachment for storage or placement for maximum sun absorption.
The PWR Solar 10W comes with SunPower Maxeon Gen 5 panels made of monocrystalline cells, the same cells used by NASA, and intelligent, integrated chip technology. The panels can detect improving solar conditions and automatically restart the charging process.
“Creating our Solar 10W panels has been a true design labor of love for Knog,” said Co-Founder and Designer Hugo Davidson. “We were determined that we wouldn’t launch this product until we could create the most innovative and best performing solar panels on the market, and that is exactly what we have achieved.”
