Kitbow’s inaugural Trail Advocate Program announced this week that

Lopresti, Kugler and Mickelson were named the 2018 recipients of the Kitsbow Trail Advocates of the Year Award.

The annual program honors stewards of trail advocacy and community. From more than 800 nominations, the three were chosen for their alliance with trail organizations in their communities and their shared passion for trail advocacy, maintenance and creation.

Joe Lopresti, is a board member and trail coordinator for the Chicago Area Mountain Bikers. Tim Kugler is executive director of the Gunnison Trails and a member of the Crested Butte Mountain Bike Association. Kugler also competed and completed the Colorado Trail Race in 2010. Mickelson is a member of the New York New Jersey Trail Conference, JORBA and Palisades MTB. He also works and volunteers with Tahawus Trails, CLIMB and NYNJTC.
