Kent Outdoors, the parent company of HO Sports and Connelly, opened a new factory in Arlington, WA. The site will be used for product innovation and production of HO Sports’ water ski product line, including its Syndicate water skis and Connelly’s Tournament-level skis.
Located next to a private lake, the company’s product designers can accelerate product testing and development for faster iteration and refinement prior to production.
“Having the factory right by the ski lake has always been the dream,” said Dave Wingerter, senior director of product development at HO Sports. “Now, we can bring ideas to life faster, test them immediately and continually push the boundaries of ski design.”
Kent Outdoors reported in a media release that it “focuses on “simplifying water ski design by honing in on the features that genuinely enhance performance while eliminating unnecessary complexity.”
“We’re committed to creating skis that are elegant, easy to build and deliver top-tier performance, said HO Sports Manufacturing Manager Dave Robinson.
Kent Outdoors continued, ” Each ski produced at the Arlington facility will be rigorously tested to ensure it meets the standards of elite athletes while remaining versatile enough for recreational skiers. “
“When you walk into the factory, there’s a distinct energy,” said HO Sports athlete and two-time World Champion Will Asher. “You can see the potential in every raw material and piece of equipment—it’s a place where innovation thrives.”
