KemperSports, the golf, sports, entertainment and hospitality company headquartered in Chicago, reported that golf industry veteran Alex Goodman will join the company as senior vice president of new business development.

In his new role, Goodman will spearhead the company’s growth initiatives, including expanding its roster of managed and leased daily-fee courses, private clubs and destination resorts.

“Alex will be a great addition to our team. An innovative thinker, he has a strong passion for golf and hospitality, great industry knowledge and a proven track record of leading sales teams and initiatives that drive growth,” said KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner. “We look forward to his leadership of our growth initiatives during this very exciting time in our industry.”

Goodman joins the company after spending the last seven years in sales and partnership roles with Topgolf Callaway Brands, where, most recently, he was the senior national director of sales overseeing the growth of its Toptracer Range Technology, reportedly “driving significant growth while securing partnerships with some of North America’s leading clubs, courses and resorts over four years.”

While overseeing growth initiatives for Toptracer Range, he also expanded its industry presence through national industry partnerships, including the PGA of America, GRAA, NGCOA, and CMAA, where he sat on the faculty for the Business Management Institute. Before Toptracer, he spearheaded Topgolf Global Partnerships and secured deals with MasterCard, Hertz, FanDuel, Lexus, Cutter & Buck, and Under Armour.

“I’ve always admired the great people and culture of service that KemperSports has stood for the last 40 years,” said Goodman. “I look forward to joining the dynamic and veteran team and continuing their unprecedented growth.”
