Reebok has promoted Denise Kaigler to the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Officer of Reebok International Ltd., a global corporation which includes the Reebok Brand, The Rockport Company, Greg Norman Collection, Ralph Lauren Footwear, and the recently acquired brands of The Hockey Company – CCM, JOFA and KOHO.

Kaigler, who now reports directly to the Corporation’s Chairman and CEO Paul Fireman, is the newest member of the Corporation’s nine-member Executive Leadership Team, headed by Fireman. Prior to this appointment, Kaigler served as Reebok’s Vice President of Global Communications and Talent Relations.

As an African-American Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Officer, Kaigler is recognized as a pioneer in the communications field at a Fortune 500 company.

“Denise has consistently proven to be a strong and effective leader, talented visionary and strategic partner to senior executives and managers throughout the organization,” said Fireman. “She has played a major role in significantly enhancing Reebok’s public profile and image among consumers, retailers and the press during a very critical time in our history. This appointment is well earned and deserved.”

In her new role, Kaigler serves as the Corporation’s top communications strategist, executive management communications counselor and chief company spokesperson.

In addition, she leads Reebok’s worldwide communications efforts, which include corporate public and media relations, corporate reputation management, corporate business and financial communications, employee communications and crisis and issues management.

Kaigler has held several communications positions since she joined Reebok in 1991 as the Media Relations Specialist. In 1998, she joined the Corporation’s Rockport division as Senior Director of Corporate Communications and Entertainment Marketing. She returned to the Corporate office in 1999 as Senior Director of Corporate Communications. In 2001, Kaigler was promoted to Vice President of Global Communications, primarily focused on the Reebok Brand. In 2002, she assumed the additional area of Talent Relations for the Reebok Brand and held that position until this recent promotion.

Prior to joining Reebok, Kaigler was the Director of Communications for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston. Before she entered the public relations field in 1989, Kaigler was a journalist. Her television reporting credits include WLTZ-TV (NBC affiliate) in Columbus, Georgia and WHDH-TV (NBC affiliate) in Boston, Massachusetts. Kaigler began her communications career in 1985 as a press aide to a Boston City Councilor.

Kaigler, 42, is a 1985 graduate of Emerson College in Boston where she majored in Journalism. She currently resides in Sharon, Massachusetts with her husband, Joseph, and their two children.
