K2 Inc. announced the appointment of J. Wayne Merck to the position of President of K2 Inc. He will also retain his previous role as Chief Operating Officer with overall responsibility for the operations of K2's various divisions.

Heckmann, K2 chairman and chief executive officer. “As we pursue our stated objectives to aggressively grow K2 both organically and through acquisitions, Wayne will play a key role in ensuring a consistent level of high quality operations both for existing K2 businesses as well as for acquisitions.”
