Marmot, Marker and Ex Officio announced today plans for a new distribution facility located in Reno, Nevada. Effective with Spring 2006, all products for each company as well as Dana Designs packs and accessories will ship from the new facility. The facility is designed to feature advanced materials handling systems and equipment as well as provide continued innovative quality control.

“The considerable growth trend in each of these companies is outpacing our current fulfillment facilities,” said Mark Martin, President of Marmot. “Now, by consolidating, we can move into the highest level of fulfillment technology,” he added. “The combined shipping of Marmot, Marker and Ex Officio apparel will better balance seasonal flow,” said Rick Hemmerling, President of Ex Officio. “We expect to realize new levels of efficiency and customer service for our Spring 2006 shipping season.”

“Reno is easily accessible to the two major ports of Long Beach and Oakland and features spectacular outdoor activities in the Eastern Sierra and Lake Tahoe areas. Reno has clearly established itself as a key regional distribution location for many companies, with attractive square footage costs,” continued Martin.

Marmot headquarters will remain in Santa Rosa, Ex Officio in Seattle and Marker Skiwear in Salt Lake City.
