JD Sports will be the first global retailer to partner with Nike on its connected loyalty program, and its partnership will expand to the U.S.
JD Sports and Nike first connected their European loyalty programs in September 2022. Nike also connected its membership program to Hibbett in October last year. JD completed its acquisition of Hibbett on July 25.
JD also owns The Finish Line, Shoe Palace, and DTLR banners in the U.S.
Through the partnership, JD’s U.S. customers can access select Nike members-only footwear and clothing by linking their JD Status and Nike membership accounts through the JD app or website. Nike loyalty members also gain early access to certain Nike member products and other benefits.
“Becoming Nike’s first global Connected Member partner strengthens our long-standing, strategic relationship with the brand,” JD Sports CEO Régis Schultz stated. “We want to redefine how brands and retailers work together to set a global standard for customer experience in our stores and across our digital channels, and this means making sure we find new ways to reward loyalty.”
JD’s loyalty program, JD Status, first launched in the UK in September 2022 and was recently rolled out to the U.S.
