Mammut Sports Group increased net revenue by 9.2 percent to CHF100.3 million ($132 mm) in the six months ended June 30, largely on the strength of its growing Asian business, according to interim results released by Conzzeta Group, its Swiss parent company.

Excluding the impact of currency exchange rates and the sales from its recently acquired South Korea business, Mammut's sales increased 7.7 percent from their level of CHF91.8 million in the year earlier period.

Mammut, which is based in Zurich, recorded the biggest increase in sales in Asia, where it has secured its first orders for the 2013/14 winter season. The company said business in Japan and South Korea were particularly strong. Sales in China, where Mammut began building up its own sales organization last year, are meeting expectations. In Europe, sales were strongest in Great Britain, recovering in Switzerland and stable in Germany.

Conzzeta did not disclose any information on Mammut’s North American business, which has been growing at low, double- digit rates in recent years.
