Jackson Kayak has acquired Eddyline Kayaks, the thermoformed lightweight recreational and touring kayak brand. The company said, “The deal merges two iconic brands with one mission: to inspire more people to experience the joy of kayaking.”

Jackson Kayak also owns Werner Paddles and Kialoa. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“We’ve always built kayaks for the love of the water and the adventure it brings,” said Peter Hausin, CEO of Jackson Kayak. “Eddyline shares that same passion, and, together, we’re creating opportunities for paddlers of all kinds to get on the water and make memories.”

With Eddyline joining Jackson’s headquarters in Sparta, TN, the combined lineup now spans fishing, whitewater, touring, and recreational paddling.

“Eddyline has always been about crafting beautiful, thermoformed lightweight kayaks that connect people to the water,” said Scott Holley, president of Eddyline. “We’re excited to carry that tradition forward alongside the Jackson team.”

Holley will remain with the company as head of sales for Eddyline.

The company said its Jackson plant will manufacture Eddyline products.
