Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation has licensed Jensan Apparel Corporation to produce and market a full range of golfwear for men, women and children under PVH’s IZOD G brand.

Jensan’s first IZOD G collection, set to arrive in stores in Fall 2010, will be distributed in green grass shops; golf, tennis and sporting goods stores; and specialty stores. The territory licensed to Jensan includes the United States, its territories and possessions, as well as Canada.

“The active, colorful personality of the IZOD brand has a long association with golf, and we’re confident that our new relationship with Jensan will give the IZOD G label the direction and focus it needs to re-establish its presence and reach its very significant potential in the green grass and sports specialty channels,” said Allen Sirkin, President and Chief Operating Officer of Phillips-Van Heusen. “These channels continue to offer a tremendous opportunity for a collection that can answer the call for exciting fashion, innovative technology and excellent value.”

Based in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Jensan was formed by Steven Banks, Chief Executive Officer, and Gordon Peters, President, specifically to market the IZOD G brand to the green grass and sports specialty markets. The two also own the Tehama golf brand and will utilize Tehama’s existing sales force and design team for the IZOD G line.

“PVH has earned a great reputation for supporting its brands and licensees with exemplary brand management and merchandising,” said Banks. “We’re looking forward to working closely with the team at PVH to make the IZOD G brand an industry leader in golf apparel with great fashion and innovative function and strong operations and marketing to support it.”

Jensan’s IZOD G collection for next Fall will consist of polos and other knit tops, woven sport shirts, pants, shorts, skorts, jackets and windshirts, as well as a selection of headwear.

Dating back to the 1930s, the active IZOD brand is licensed to 24 companies covering 27 different product categories in the U.S., as well as in five international markets.
