Poppy Gall, Co-founder of the women's outdoor apparel brand ISIS, has launched her own full service design studio. As chief designer and creative director, Gall will work with a talented pool of designers, illustrators and photographers to offer a diversity of styles to potential clients in the outdoor, snowsports and lifestyle apparel business.

The studio offers outerwear and sportswear apparel design, knitwear design, color palette development, design of prints and graphics, mood boards, trim design and product development and management.

“I am excited to pursue new opportunities within the outdoor and snowsports industries and outside of them,” said Gall. “I thrive on combining function and aesthetics with a splash of color. Nothing sparks my creativity or brings me more joy than being in the mountains. I spend all my free time outdoors regardless of weather or season, so I’m able to bring a realistic perspective to outdoor apparel design.”

As co-founder and Chief Design Officer at ISIS, Gall’s role was to design and produce authentic outdoor apparel that would drive the brand’s success and resonate with women. Her responsibilities over 11 years with ISIS encompassed the entire design and development process from concept sketches to commercialized product, including managing the product development team. Design categories included everything from seamless body layer to technical outerwear. Gall’s unique color palettes, detailed finishing touches, playful prints and sense of functional style set ISIS apart from-and was often emulated by-other brands.

Prior to ISIS, Gall was a freelance knitwear designer, product color specialist and founder of Women’s Nordic Skiing Clinics in Stowe, VT. She was founder of the knitwear company Mountain Ladies & Ewe that she sold to Turtle Fur in 1990.

Gall recently started a blog (http://www.PoppyGall.com/blog) where she writes about design and inspiration. “I hope my blog will become a forum for sharing thoughts with others interested in the intersection of color, art, design, fashion, skiing, adventure, creativity and the world surrounding us,” she says.
