After a recent audit by the Leather Working Group (LWG), Scamosceria del Brenta srl (Scabrenta), the new member of international tanning group ISA TanTec, has obtained a Silver award for the company’s Italian based tannery.
In 2018, as a sustainable leather tanning group, ISA is celebrating the 15th anniversary of its LITE (Low Impact To the Environment) Trademark. The group has recorded an annual energy saving of more than 107,187,000 Kwh and an average daily water savings of more than 2,375,000 liters among its facilities in one year.
In addition to the LWG Silver award of Scabrenta, the ISA tanning group has obtained LWG Gold awards for Heshan TanTec (China) and Saigon TanTec (Vietnam) and a LWG Silver award for its Mississippi TanTec (The USA). The results reinforce the group’s continuous commitment to environmental excellence and sustainability and social responsibilities in the tanning industry.
