IPC Beverage appointed two senior executives to the EnergIce brand team: Jon Steinberg one of the founders of Linden Care, will be responsible for Business Development for EnergIce and Nagel, Founder of Linden Pro Care, will oversee operations and assist with business development.  Both are new positions for EnergIce®, the first of its kind vitamin-enriched premium ice bar.

“We are very excited to welcome both Matt and Jon to the EnergIce® team,” said Glenn Firestone, IPC Beverage Group and EnergIce® CEO.  “They both bring a wealth of knowledge, experience and expertise in the health and wellness area and the sports industry. They are joining EnergIce® at the perfect time as we work aggressively to increase both awareness and market demand. Without question, Matt and Jon will help us accelerate these efforts.”

Previously, in 2009, Steinberg was one of the founders of Linden Care, a leading provider of specialty pharmacy services to the pain management industry. With its unique concierge pharmacy business model, Linden Care quickly distinguished itself by providing robust and differentiated compliance practices as well as a full suite of specialty services to meet the needs of patients, physicians, pharmaceutical manufacturers and professional sports teams. Steinberg departed Linden Care after it was purchased in 2013 by private equity firm BelHealth Investment Partners.

“I am very excited to be joining EnergIce®,” said Steinberg. “This product is phenomenal and will not only change the future of sports hydration but will have a major impact on the broader health industry. I am honored to be part of this team and extremely bullish on how far EnergIce® will go in terms of market leadership.”

While at Linden Care, Steinberg was instrumental in leading the company’s efforts in sports initially at the minor league level and, over time, at the professional and major leagues. Over a five-year period, Linden Care represented a majority of National Hockey League (NHL) teams, 17 Major League Baseball (MLB) teams and 12 National Football League (NFL) teams.

Steinberg currently resides in Bellmore, New York and is a graduate of the State University of New York (SUNY) at Albany and New York Law School.

While at Linden Care Pharmacy from 2009 to 2014, Nagel oversaw the finance department and negotiated all initial purchase agreements with wholesalers. He was involved in all business operations, including shipping, receiving and billing. He founded and developed the Linden Pro Care division taking it from zero market share to a robust sports client portfolio of 17 MLB teams and multiple NFL and NHL teams. Later, Nagel was heavily involved in negotiating Linden Care’s BelHealth purchase.

“I am thrilled to be joining the EnergIce® team,” said Nagel. “This brand is truly revolutionizing the category. I am proud to be part of such an innovative company and am excited to be continuing my work in sports.”

In March 2014, Nagel completed his Linden Care consulting agreement.  Prior to Linden Care, he served as Vice President of Transervice Logistics Inc. from 2000 to 2009 and was responsible for 1,500 union employees and a management team of more than 40.  He also successfully negotiated multiple collective
bargaining agreements with more than 25 different union locals and helped negotiate financing with various lending institutions

Nagel currently resides in Bellmore, New York and is a graduate of Hofstra University.
