Insite Performance hired Dr. Caleb Dyer as the company’s first director of innovation. Dyer reportedly brings over a decade of experience in engineering footwear polymers, having served as a material innovator, Polymer Lab manager and lead chemical engineer at Nike since 2012. Notable projects during his time at the company include Nike Anti-Clog, Nike Fast Fit and Nike Space Hippie.

Dyer earned his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Georgia College & State University and a Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

As Director of Innovation Dyer is responsible for “optimizing the brand’s insole material systems while applying his expertise in chemistry to generate new systems.”

“I couldn’t be more excited for the opportunity to join the Insite team,” said Dyer. “As the new director of innovation, I’m looking forward to using my expertise in chemistry, materials and footwear manufacturing to create new paradigms within the industry. I’m fortunate to have been a part of many revolutionary innovations at Nike, and I’m excited to continue that momentum as I work with Insite to develop industry-wide, game-changing platforms in this new role.”

Dyer hire comes as Insite Performance reported it “continues to expand to meet growing demands.” He will work closely with Senior Director of Product and fellow Nike veteran Jake Van Daam to collaborate with brand partners to bring new product innovations to market.

“It’s an exciting time of expansion at Insite right now,” said Greg Diharce, company president. “Caleb comes to us with an impressive portfolio, and we’re fortunate to have someone of his caliber joining our product team. I’m eager to see the ways in which his expertise will allow us to continue furthering our mission of bringing better foot health to the masses.”
