The first-ever Outdoor PressCamp will take place June 20-24, 2016, at Deer Valley Resort in Park City, UT, for invited media and brands only. Committed brands so far include Camelbak, Five Ten and Lowa Boots, among others.
The camp’s theme of “Camp + Trail” addresses the brands and product
trends coming to market in the camping category, as well as high output
sports like trail running, backpacking and obstacle challenges. Three days of intensive back-to-back private sessions with core outdoor brands combine with on-trail product testing and mealtime networking for four days in a world-class mountain environment.
PressCamp will bring together brands and media in a focused and intimate setting to unveil the latest innovations for the camping, hiking, backpacking and nature-loving consumer. Handpicked writers and other journalists will meet privately in arranged suites at Deer Valley Resort’s The Lodges, as well as enjoy product testing on trail and in camp surrounding the venue. This intimate setting is designed to provide insight into brand stories to inform the product development and future vision of this segment of the outdoor recreation world.
Outdoor PressCamp will be held concurrently and adjacent with Bike PressCamp Summer 2016. Separated by about 100 meters, this alignment will allow both events’ attendees to mingle for strategic networking opportunities while still offering individual, intimate and targeted media attention at each respective event.
With many top brands already on board to participate, journalists from top consumer and trade titles around the country are looking for the invite. “My attendance at Bike PressCamp has been invaluable for relationship building and getting the scoop on new product. In uninterrupted one-on-one meetings in a relaxed environment I can go deeper with brands I already know, and I can build relationships with brands I don't quickly and efficiently — much more so than at a trade show. Spending time with company representatives in the field-testing product always gives me new story ideas and angles. And camp is great networking with other journalists and editors, as well as a whole lot of fun,” said Berne Broudy contributor to Men’s Journal and Popular Science magazines.
Outdoor PressCamp’s sales and media invitations are being managed by Kenji Haroutunian, former Show Director for Outdoor Retailer and principal of KenjiConsults. “The buzz is definitely out there on PressCamp 2016, with top industry brands already on board to take advantage of this unique and super-effective opportunity to engage more deeply with top media entities in the greater outdoor recreation marketplace at this key time of year” said Haroutunian, event director. “We are thrilled to have such excellent brands on board already, and there will be some surprises in industry innovation launching at the event.”
The Outdoor PressCamp 2016 Early Bird Program is now available for relevant brands. Be one of the first five participation contracts with the required 50 percent deposit submitted and receive 10 percent off. All other participation contracts after the first five may deduct 5 percent. Offer expires on 11/15/15 and no additional discounts will be offered.
