In hopes of garnering more attention from the footwear, outdoor & sporting goods channels, Burt’s Bees has agreed to make Implus the official distributor for the Burt's Bees Lip Balm collection. Accordingly, Implus will tap into its extensive retail network and to Burt's Bees' personal care products expand throughout wider markets.
“Implus is excited to build upon its current distribution channels and this partnership with Burt's Bees will add to our company's lineup of the best outdoor & sporting goods accessories that helps retailers meet the needs of active consumers,” said Seth Richards, CEO of Implus. “Burt's Bees is already a highly successful company and we look forward to helping them grow even more.”
Currently, Burt's Bees channels most of its distribution through big box drug stores, though the partnership with Implus will allow them to become more closely aligned with the outdoor specialty market.

In terms of marketing, Implus plans to hit the ground running with its new brand. Not only are the Bees’ lip products being made available for immediate distribution, but the company also plans to showcase the Burt's Bees lip balm collection at the 2010 Summer Outdoor Retailer show scheduled for August 3-6 in Salt Lake City, UT.
